MacroScales Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of MacroScales (the App), developed by DeAaron Musandu operating as DA Scales. By downloading, installing, or using MacroScales, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

MacroScales is a nutrition and fitness tracking application that allows you to log meals, track calories and macronutrients, scan barcodes, use AI-powered photo estimation of food, and monitor your health and fitness progress.

3. Not Medical Advice

MacroScales is for informational and tracking purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary, or health advice. Calorie and macronutrient values, including AI photo estimates, are approximations and may not be accurate. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, exercise, or health routine. Do not use the App as a substitute for professional medical guidance.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You must be at least 13 years old to use MacroScales.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

MacroScales offers an auto-renewing Premium subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price shown at purchase. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iPhone Settings under your Apple ID Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

6. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including attempting to reverse engineer, copy, or resell it; using it for any unlawful purpose; interfering with its operation; or attempting to access other users' data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, branding, and content, is owned by DA Scales and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights. Data you log in the App remains yours.

9. AI Features Disclaimer

AI-powered features, including photo-based food estimation, generate automated approximations. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated estimates. You are responsible for verifying nutritional information that is important to your health.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DA Scales and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, health outcomes, or other losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@dascales.com.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
