MacroMind Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how MacroMind (the App), developed by DeAaron Musandu operating as DA Scales, collects, uses, and protects your information. By using MacroMind, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: your email address and login credentials when you create an account. Health and Nutrition Data: meals you log, calories, macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat), water intake, body metrics you choose to enter, and workout information. Photos: when you use the AI photo feature, meal photos are processed to estimate nutritional content. Device Information: device model, iOS version, and app usage data used to improve performance and fix bugs. Purchase Information: subscription status is processed through Apple. We never see or store your payment card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to provide core app functionality including meal logging, macro tracking, and AI-powered food estimation; to sync your data across sessions; to process and manage your Premium subscription; to improve app performance and fix issues; and to respond to support requests sent to our team.

4. AI Photo Processing

When you photograph a meal, the image is sent to our AI processing service to estimate calories and macronutrients. Photos are used only to generate your nutrition estimate and are not used to identify you or sold to third parties.

5. Health Data

Your nutrition and fitness data is personal health-related information. We do not sell this data, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing. It exists in the App solely so you can track your own progress.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

MacroMind Premium subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. All payment processing is handled by Apple. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your iPhone Settings under Subscriptions. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

7. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the App, including food and nutrition databases (such as USDA data), AI processing services for photo estimation, and Apple services for authentication and payments. These providers process data only as needed to deliver App functionality.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You may request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@dascales.com from the email linked to your account. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

MacroMind is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

11. Your Rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact us at hello@dascales.com to exercise any of these rights.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date on this page. Continued use of MacroMind after changes constitutes acceptance.
